Whitworth was out and I put the Ultra Dot back on his BFR .500 JRH. He sighted it for 50 yards so I put up a beer can at 100 yards. He shot and the can did not move. I took the second shot and it fell.
This is what we found. Both boolits went through the same hole to make two exits.

Here are the exits.

Why did you pour that Keystone out before shooting it. I'd rather have a reactive target and that's about the only thing Keystone is good for.

Good on ya. I don't think I could even see that can at 100 yards....

Was it the "regular" Ultra Dot or the one with multiple dot sizes?

Fun stuff. I have a Millett on my .223 Galil. I went out yesterday day to sight it in and when done, I put a plastic bottle full of water out at 50 yards...(using a 63 grain HP)......what an impact..there were pieces of plastic spread out for about 10 yards in every direction.

Good news on the UltraDot, I am still planning to put one on my Blackhawk for use on my cow elk hunt in December....

It is cheap beer and a good thirst quencher, About 100 times better then Bud light. I make my own REAL beer but fill in with cheap beer. Bud light makes me gag!

Not sure what that post by JWP is supposed to represent....I assume the target was at 1006 yards...but would sure like to know more about the shot.... gun and cartridge, scope, dot or open sights....etc

Whitworth seems to understand what this represents, please share.....

jwp,
Where are you going to get to shoot that far? Very nice BTW. Whitworth and BFR, come one, we all know that the beer can was only 5 yds away, and it was only one shattered hardcast that made those exits...lol

Light colored dirt provides a good back ground. I can't see them either with a dark back ground
