I was on Gary Reeder's gun site and seen he had a 510 GNR custom Revolver for sale. So I went ahead and got it.

After shooting his 510 GNR in my Encore and seeing the great accuracy I got, I figured I need to add the revolver to my collection of big bore handguns.

Redhawk1, glad you got that off of Gary's in stock list. I had to keep my hand on my wallet to keep peace with the wife. Hope she shoots as good as she looks....RW

Yea, I don't know what I was thinking. When I seen him offer the discount of $100 plus free shipping I jumped on it.

I also hope it shoots as good as it looks, and if it shoots like my 510 GNR Encore barrel, I will be very happy. Big Grin

I have been looking at that pistol, god buy. That is a real nice one. I shot some boars with Reeder in Tenn. ealier this year and I was able to shoot a couple of 510 in different configurations and will be ordering one in the near future. Enjoy it, and good shooting.

Redhawk1,

Let me offer my services.....for free. You go ahead and work up a nice bear load, sight it in, put together about 50 rounds, 40 for familiarization, 5 for back up and 5 in the gun. I'll put up the cost of a 1st class stamp, envelope and freshly signed copy of my FFL sent to you at no charge. Then you can send it to me via your preferred method of shipping. From there I'll take it to Alaska for this Septembers Grizzly hunt. I'll provide free transportation for the handgun, up and back. If the Grizzly decides to cooperate, I'll honor him and you by placing a couple of your meticulosly put together loads where needs be. I'll than have my outfitter skin, flesh, salt and pack the hide and skull for my trip back, after a few days of world class Grayling, Artic Char and Dog salmon fishing accompanied by some Ptarmigan shooting with my 2-1/2" chambered, 30" barrel, W&S Screw Grip, 12 bore, retailed by Manton of London. Upon arriving home in Utah, I'll send an invitation to you to come see my bear hide and skull. Since you;ll be hear you might as well have your prize returned to you so you get get it ready for next years hunt since your knee will be in no shape for this years hunting.

Aren't I a nice guy?! Big Grin

Your so thoughtful...lol rotflmo

I will be ready for my hunting trip in August, my surgeon said in 3 weeks I will be OK and in 5 weeks I will be ready for my hunt. He know I am going bear hunting.

As much as I would love for my new gun to go to Alaska, I would rather be the one going with it. Wink

Tempo, that is good to here. I can wait for it to get here.

I liked the bottom one better, it is also a finished gun and the pic's are of the gun I am getting, I talked to Gary Reeder today and he said I could switch because they have not sent out the other gun yet.

So what is your opinion on both guns and which one do you all like.

Thanks to Whitworth for posting them pic's for me. dancing

BFR, I said it a bit differently. I told him that it was obvious that he had more money than brains. He's got enough handguns to outfit a wild west show right now. I endured 90 degree heat on Tuesday while he "fine tuned" 5 guns. He SWORE that only two of them were going on this upcoming bear hunt in August. NOW we have a NEW GUN that's going that he doesn't even have yet. I fell like I'm going on a bear hunt with my wife. She can't ever make up her friggin mind either.

The wife always askes why I need so many guns when I can only hunt with one at a time. dancing I tell her I take a different one for every deer. But I can't shoot any more deer before I run out of guns. I don't buy any more, neither can I afford more, so I get what I have shooting better and better.
I can kill anything that walks the earth with what I have, money is better spent for powder and primers.
