Fit is good but the AE is a semi auto round. As much as I like BFR's, I would never buy that cartridge for a revolver. I would choose the .500 JRH first.
Head space problems, case length, etc are not worth the trouble.

Nothing wrong with the 50AE, I have one of the first 555 Freedom Arms in that caliber. The 50AE's only draw back is that it headspaces on the case mouth which prevents crimping the bullet. The heaviest bullet I have used was 350 grains without any issues. I have some 370 grain hardcasts that I have not tried out yet. The BFR cylinder is plenty long for the 440 grain bullets, however I doubt you will be able to shoot them to any velocity without having the bullets jump their case.
If you can get the BFR at a good price later on down the road you could send it to Jack Huntington to have the cylinder bored to his 500JRH cartridge.

The base of the 50Ae is larger than the base of the 500 Linebaugh and therefore can not be rechambered to either 500 L or JRH

For a couple hundred BFR will make you a new cylinder in 500 JRH

Even with a heavy crimp, the headspace didn't seem to be a problem.
I did send mine back for a 500 JRH cylinder for $190. The brass from Huntingtion's was very reasonably priced.
The rim on the 500 JRH brass is slightly smaller than the 500 S&W, but the BFR's cylinder will take cut down S&W brass.

For loading the 500 JRH, I've been sizing brass with a S&W die and useing the 50AE die for seating and crimping.

I emailed the guy at MR that built my 500 and asked where they can be ordered from.

Good afternoon Glenn.

The 500 JRH is a factory caliber now. the reason you cant find them is because our sales team introduce the 500 at the shot show but did not put it in the 2011 distributors catalog. this is the explanation I have been given. I believe we can sell a factory 500 JRH the same way we sell a custom gun and that is to call our customer service department here and order directly from us. I will let you know if there's any other way to order after I bring this up to management.

Brett.

Yes ,I was told the same thing. That I would have to order a Custom from the Custom Shop.I was also told a Factory Run had been made and sent to a Distributer. This was the unknown Distributer who`s name they would not release.I guess the left hand does not know what the right hand is doing Eeker over there!!!!
