As some might remember I posted about a new spotting scope I was going to try for hunting this year and just wanted to follow up on it. Didn't get to use it much. It was too warm and dry this year in Washington for really good hunting in my area. Plus everyone was up high and all the deer had been chased out of there. So it was back down into the real Blacktail country. And as everyone who has hunted Blacktail know the places down low where they like to hang out is no place to use a spotting scope. But again too dry. My brother compared it to walking in a room full of potatoe chips. But I have to admit it still was a good year for hunting. I had my adopted son Tom out again for the second time and he just missed a deer. We got to spend alot of time together. Plus my little brother got his deer. He is still mostly a rifle hunter but took a nice two point at a little over 130 laser ranged yards off hand. Man that guy can shoot. I am still impressed with him. Anyways that was my deer and elk season. We will see how cougar turns out. Atleast that runs to March 15th, this year. Slim
