Well after reading about problems wit the Raging Bull in 454 I am wondering how it holds up to the .480 Ruger? I hate the Ruger Super Redhawk in both looks and feel but love the RB. I was hoping to buy one in the next couple months but now I am pardon the pun "Gun Shy". [ 06-27-2002, 04:27: Message edited by: Jacobite ]

Get one and enjoy and don't look back. Deal with it when the problem arises. It is only around $600 so there is not much to loose here. I have had two Raging Bulls and several Super Redhawks. One of the Bulls had to go back to the factory for service. It would not cock occasionally but it was quite an accurate gun. The action lockup was also very loose on this particular gun. The other Bull (44 Magnum) had a much better quality for some reason. Anyway, Taurus fixed the problem but I did not think they did a very good job so I sold it not long after I got it back from them. On the other hand, I have not had any problems with any of my Super Redhawks. Of course, some of my Super Redhawks have been fully customized so they do not count in this comparison. However, in general I have been very pleased with all of them. Good luck and have fun. Cheers! Ming

Jacobite, Go with the RB. I have one in .454 Casull, never have any problems with it. But I don't use bullets weight more than 335 gr and withdraw 1 or 2 grains of powder of max loads. For it is the most comfartble big bore that I own. This gun not required shooting gloves like other handguns.
