I have recently acquired an "old model" Colt Anaconda, 6 inch, and a S&W Model 69, 4 inch barrel due to an unexpected death in my extended family. I have shot the Anaconda but not the S&W yet. Both have OEM grips which are too small for my hands (I have fairly long fingers) so with full house loads the Anaconda "bites". Which aftermarket grips would any of you recommend? Thanks for any advice. "Never, ever, book a hunt with Jeri Booth or Detail Company Adventures"

I like Pachmayr professionals the best, then Hogues. I do not believe that I have any wooden grips on my handguns.

The Smith and Wesson Target Grips with the football cut out fit my hand perfectly. I prefer the smooth style but the checkered work for me too.

Have this one on my 500 S&W. You can shoot it with one hand. It evenly distributes recoil to whole palm, original rubber grip is just too soft and steel part underneath creates smaller "recoil distribution area". http://500sw.cz/ https://us.nill-shop.com/ Jiri

I have the problem of having short fingers. Still, this might work for the S&W I liked this type of grip on N frames that did not recoil as much.

I believe it is exactly as factory on .500 S&W PC I have removed. https://www.smith-wesson.com/p...el-s-w500-7.5-barrel Jiri

Probably is. The pachmayr is thinner, but wider. The average man has a hand whose fingers are one digit longer than mine. So I have the problem of finding small grips. And that takes a lot of work. You are going to have the same amount of work, but for larger grips.
