had to change the weapon shes going to use. She is right handed and left eye dominant and is just struggling to much with the apature sights on the p. Were going to load some punch bullets in her #1 4570. she shoots that well and has taken a pig already with it.

Lloyd, On another thread, you inquired about the taste of water buffalo. We know that the taste of our North American bison is outstanding. The same can also be said of a Himalayan Yak I shot nearly 20 years ago, and he was a pretty old bugger. With buffalo, opinions seem to vary around the world. In Tanzania, I ate cape buffalo tongue from 2 that I shot. It was okay-a bit tough- but nothing to get really excited about, although the natives consider it a delicacy. On the other hand, if it had been prepared by a good cook or chef, who knows? We gave all the rest of the meat to local villagers, so I can't speak about the taste of it. They made it into biltong. In Argentina, I ate part of the tenderloin from a water buffalo I'd shot, and it was good. Once again, we gave the rest of the meat to local gaucho families. In Australia a couple years earlier, I shot 2 water buffalo, but the outfitter insisted that he didn't know how to fix it so it would be good. I didn't argue, but I have regretted it since. Nevertheless, it is true that buffalo have been "mustered" (rounded-up by helicopter) in Australia's Northern Territory from time to time, and sold to meat markets in Malaysia, so the meat has to have plenty of value as food. I would guess that, like bison, the younger the animal the better the meat, and the lesser cuts can always be turned into burger for use in many dishes. As steaks,an old bull may taste like so much old bull!
