Hey Packy, Bowen classic arms sells a lanyard screw stud that replaces the screw at the bottom of the hogue. I have one on my 629 and it’s perfect.

I never had one and never lost a gun falling out
until today in front of a crowd at a fancy restaurant.

Wearing shorts, snubby smith in IWB in front.
My gut hangs over it and had a hassle just before going there getting the clip hooked on the band of my shorts. Apparently, I'd pushed the clip out of it's holder.

Sure as hell, the gun in the holster came off the clip and fell thru my shorts onto the sidewalk. I'm sure it drew enough attention. I never said anything, and didn't look at the people either.

I just leaned on my cane and picked it up. Went on inside to a dark corner and put the clip back on and mounted where it was supposed to go.

This is my 5th day of using this IWB. Learning curve. Know enough now to make sure it's on as it's supposed to be.

Not a mark on the gun or holster.

Believe I have them solved once the clear DAP

cures under the clip.

Will give them a couple days, then try to look

under it to see if it's completely cured.

Nothing moves once glued down with that stuff.

Re: the shorts I had chrons back in '12. All my

colon was taken out. Ended up with an ostomy 3"

to the right of my belly button, right where a

belt interferes with the bag. When it comes off

loaded, it makes a real nasty mess. I've found

wearing shorts all the time regardless of the

weather, it seldom comes off. My feet and lower

legs are totally numb from the back surgeries so

they don't feel cold. Unless I'm going out, I'm

barefoot also, even in the snow. I don't stay in

it long, know the cold can freeze the skin.

Randy: Thank you.

That hit me back in '12, 8 months of it, and tried to die. 21 days in a coma, 5 total weeks in hosp, then 9 more healing in a N/H. Then once home I just couldn't get well and had to go thru it again as the first doc here left some in.

ALL mine is gone. Even the exit part.

The hardest part is changing my attitude!

Here's some of what I learned: IF you ever get the calf scours (shits) that lasts over a week. Get in quick to a good Gastro doc and find out what's causing it. Maybe IF I had, it wouldn't have gotten so bad. I was just so sick I couldn't think to call for the ambulance and get to the ER. A neighbor came to check on me at just about the last hour. I passed out before he got me from the car to the check in desk. Woke up three weeks later gutted.

George,
God bless you + I understand your attitude situation but just remember that that is the ONE thing that you have control of during this crisis.

Sounds like one should consider a shoulder rig.

I carried my secondary pistol in one for decades 8 hours a day plus.

I exercised, running for decades with one. Wore two tee shirts to keep it from flopping and rubbing me raw.
