I've been looking at these for awhile and no one had them in stock. Wholesale Hunter sent me an email last week stating that they had gotten one in so...I ordered it.

That is one fine gun. There have been some great .22's over the years but now the Buckmark and Ruger are the best.
The worst thing today is the quality of ammo. When you find what shoots best, please post results.

I have the best luck with CCI blue tag hollow points. Never got the real high velocity stuff to shoot.
The Ruger does not like target stuff either, just plain high velocity is best.
I don't know about the Browning, it might like target loads. My friend has one and I shot it but he is back in Ohio and out of touch now. I forget what he used.

x-caliber, I have been using Federal American Eagle in my Mark II slab side with no problems at all. I also have very good results with Remington Golden bullets, as well as CCI blue tag hollow points.

If you're going to make a hole, make it a big one.

My Uncle shoots lots of .22 Out of a Ruger and a Buckmark. He has the best results w/ CCI Standard Velocity loads. The Ruger slab side he put an entire box through a 1" target paster at 50 yards w/ a 2x scope and a off sandbags!!!!! That target hangs on the wall LOL dancing

K20350, Was this an older browning with the adjustable trigger or a new one without adjustments. I'm in the market for another .22 auto pistol at this time and would really like to know.

velocity is like a new car, always losing value.
BC is like diamonds, holding value forever.

The awesome group was w/ the Ruger slabside and CCI Standard Velocity. He also did a trigger job on it himself and it has one of the best triggers I have ever felt on a Ruger Mark III. That gun drives nails. They say you can't do a trigger job on them but after feeling my Uncle's I beg to differ. We used to shoot IHMSA and that is the gun he used for small bore. We always say that the pistol shoots way better than we can. He also put an extra power extractor and titanium firing pin in it.

I shot a group a quarter would cover, at 50yd with my slabside Ruger...2x eer, but only one clip....CCI HPs

I did a couple of trigger jobs....careful slow honing...watch angles....too much.... Confused

But when done slowly and tried along the way.. Wink

OP, I handled that contour Buckmark at this years SHOT show and I confess....I really liked it. Ruger made a short run of slabs in 5.5...but only Blue IIRC.

I'd bet when you find some better ammo it's going to make you smile. Stingers are hit/miss in many guns, personally never had great luck, others have success.
