12FLVSS, don't know what you mean by the "shot placement wasn't the greatest" Nothing at all wrong with a double lung shot. Seems too much emphasis on a heart shot, but it is a much smaller target than the lungs. If I get the heart, great, but I know if I put a bullet or arrow through both lungs, the deer will almost alway be down in 100 yards or less.
