As I understand it, they actually produced ten of these guns, but this is the only one made available to the public at this time. Given the existence of all the others, I sure wouldn't consider paying anywhere near $80k for it -- but that's what makes an auction I suppose.

Ed Brown is making one for general sale at $7k -- I'm sure that others are as well -- and you can buy one of those and actually shoot it without destroying its value. But, I probably won't buy one of those either -- I'll just stick with the dozen or so 1911's I already own. LOL


When you get bored with life, start hunting dangerous game with a handgun.
