I am about to start looking for a load for my FA .454 since I got it back from repairs after I baught it with a broked firing pin. I can relly only get H110 or N110 and a few commercial bullets, not many good cast bullets availiable here. It one load I have tried is 27.7gn of H110 under a Hornady jacketed 300gn flat point SP which shot well in my Taurus but in the FA seems to shoot about 15" high @ 25 yards, though this is just something I picked up doing some casual plinking. The gun shoots nicely, markedly more comfortable than the Raging Bull, with all it's muzzle break, special rubbber grips and wieghted barrel, I find the FA sweeter to shoot, under recoil it just slides in your hand.

Freedom Arms website has a great deal of loading information for the .454 Casull. You need to be careful not to exceed the design velocities of the bullets you use as this could damage the barrel. I have found near max charges of WW296/H110 gives me very good performance. However, I have yet to find a load that did not shoot well in either of my .454s. As to the load you stated is shooting high, I have front sight blades in several different heights. This allows my to use the load I like regardless of how high or low it prints on paper. If ignorance is bliss; there are some blissful sonofaguns around here. We know who you are, so no reason to point yourselves out.
