I have one that started life as a 44 Mag and had Dave Clements rechamber/rebore for me. It is one of the most accurate revolvers I own. A buddy of mine has one of the factory 45 Redhawks and his does very well also. He needed to get the throats reamed on his. Good shooting...RW

Most factory 45 Colt Redhawks that I have seen did not perform very well without some sort of fine-tunning. I bought my first 45 Colt Redhawk after reading JT's article about his 45 Redhawk but my's was nowhere near as accurate out of the box as his sixgun. Redhawks also have a very unique heavy trigger pull but it can be remedied by installing a extra lengh firing pin from Bowen along with a lighter Wolff spring. If everything is done right then the trigger pull in single action let off mode can be reduced down to around 3lb. Have fun!!!

9.3X62, ruger has a habit of cutting the throats too tight on .45's. I lapped my Vaquero out so the boolits push through the throats and it is very accurate now. I have never figured out why they do this.
