Seems like an encouraging review.

Looks like its a bit snappy with the stouter loads. I think it would make for a great packing pistol, especially in a cross draw rig or chest holster.

Didn't Lipseys run a short barrel .45 Bisley BH a few months ago?

The slow motion of the recoil was impressive.
Thanks for the link.

Lipseys is out of stock and has been for about the last 3-4 weeks. Found one online at a pretty reasonable price today and just dropped the check and FFL in the mail about an hour ago. With luck I'll have it in my hands by the 17th.
Interesting, never thought I would go for something with this short of a barrel but the more I thought about it the more I liked the idea as using it for a backup or while fishing. Seems to be a nice combination of power and size. Easy to carry in the back pack and just as easy to carry in a belt holster because it will not be hanging down to my knees. Doubt it will see use as a primary hunting revolver for big game but for all other uses seems to fill a niche. Time will tell.

The 3 3/4" Vaquero .44 spl is sooper handy.

The heavy steel Bisley grip frame on a 3 3/4" gun seems to defeat the whole purpose to me.

The video shows the gun moving in his hand at each shot - not the best thing for accuracy as each shot will have a different POI !.
I prefer the S&W with Pachmyer grips and bent elbows which act as shock absorbers to soak up recoil.

I don't think anyone is claiming this shorty revolver was designed for long rang hunting. Think of it as a good combination of power and size to wear on your belt while hunting, fishing, hiking, etc. Certaintly there are better choices for a hunting revolver. But for a belt gun I think it is worth a go.

Any hand cannon is going to shift in your hand. One of the reasons behind the Bisley is to allow it to move a little which helps to spread out the recoil.

Cheers

Might have an easier time finding a Unicorn at this point. I want one real bad. The only ones I have seen available are ridiculously over priced.

They are around. Found one NIB on the Ruger forum for $550 shipped. It should be here middle of next week.
Be patient, Lipseys told my dealer they reordered a batch from Ruger.
