My wife surprised me with a beautiful SS colt Comander Plus. The pistol is very tight for factory 1911. It has no play in the barrel hood without a magazine inserted, no rattle, no wiggle at the bushing and barrel. The slide stop I had to use a plasitic hammer to tap out.

The thump safety is traditional in design. Works fine with my hand even with high thumb grip. It has just a little, noticeable rebound.

This is he first 1911 I have got with those G10grips. They are light tan with blue and green streaks pencils thin. The grips have a raised “bumpy”texture.

I am blessed.

I feel blessed by the 1911 45 ACP Colt auto in general and all its knockoffs..I am sure the SS version commander is a dandy and has a lot of appeal to me for a carry gun..
