I recently bought a new Sig P220R5 in 10mm and have been looking in vain for a hunting holster. I've tried El Paso Saddlery....they are not cooperating. Any suggestions for a custom maker? I like the "tanker", across the chest style.
Thanks.

Give Simply Rugged a call. They build some solid, no frills holsters that work well. Very reasonably priced with good customer service and relatively quick turn around times.

+1 on Gunfighters inc. I believe their chest model is called the Kodiak. I just purchased one of their holsters and the quality is far better than any kydex holster I have seen. Many color combinations, fast shipping, definitely check them out.

Thanks for the suggestions. I will follow up early week with phone calls. The problem with the P220 in 10mm is that the dimensions are different than all other P220s. Hence nobody is making over the counter holsters due to limited demand at this time.

Phil: Please post any success you have finding a holster. I bought a Sig also not realizing it would not fit in my 220 holster. I have heard "not at this time" from several makers.
I have been trying to find a crossdraw style for it. I use crossdraws on my big handguns and really like them in a vehicle or on a horse.

LJS, Just ordered a Model # SH7 holster from Mernickleholsters.com in Nevada. Price $169.95 + shipping. I spoke with them on the phone and was specific about the Sig Model and 10mm cal. They assured me that they are familiar with the difference from the .45 cal. P220....no problem.

I was going to suggest Mernickle but it seems you found them first.

They have made a couple holsters for me now and I couldn't be happier.

Glad to hear. Lone Star Holsters & Slings in Texas is another source.
