I have a 6 inch .44mag and the accuracy is as good as my 2 S&W 29's. The Colt is every bit as good or better than any S&W or Ruger.

I'd personally rather have a Ruger or a S&W over a Colt any day.

Accuracy is an iffy thing ... most guns on the market are going to be about as, or more, accurate than the average shooter offhand, so they'll all probably hit within the same range.

I've heard a lot of really questionable things about Colt's machining tolerances, and that plays a big factor. Individual guns may vary quite a bit from Colt, and some specific guns may be great while others in the same lot need work.

Colt 1911s are good, but I don't trust their revolvers anywhere as much as a good solid Ruger or Smith.
