Anyone have any observations about this gun? I'm having trouble finding nice leather (like a pancake style that hugs the body). There were a couple of posts on this forum by Eremicus 2-3 years ago about how much he liked it. Does the model come with the 3" barrel only? I see the listed weight is 12 1/2 oz -- is that correct? I just love mine and carry it loaded with CCI shotshells; dusted a 4' snake just days after I bought it.

I would recommend you weigh yours to determine if the published weight is correct or not. Congrats on the snake. I usually carry a .38 or .44 Spl loaded with shotshells for that purpose. Have you checked all the leather manufactures? If I remember correctly, I have seen leather for 3" J & K frame revolvers. If not, a holster maker can certainly make what you want.

If ignorance is bliss; there are some blissful sonofaguns around here. We know who you are, so no reason to point yourselves out.

With the wood grips the gun should weight 9.5 oz. I believe. I have one and love it. If you have not tried them the Winchester 40 grain HPs shoot extremely well for mine.

As to a holster the Don Hume J.I.T. is a nice simple beltside that will take any lenght barrel. I also had K-Holster Company make me a open top full coverage holster. I think that the company has been sold and the new owner working out of Oregon. It was also know as MinuteMan Holsters.

The gun also comes as 2" fixed sight and a 2" adjustable with a stainless barrel was also made but in limited numbers.
