The new edition of Handloader (#274) has an articale on Alliant 300MP powder by Brian Pearce. If you have wanted to try it, but couldn't find info, this may help.

300mp has been on my list of powders to try for my 44mag though nobody locally has it just yet. So gonna have to wait for my next big order and get it from Powder Valley.

I have used it for the 480R but never put it through the Crono.

I like useing it.

I have found some loads for "Ruger" loads for the 45 Colt but not from Alliant.

Thank you for asking, where i am we didnt get hit too bad, didnt have power for a few days but overll no damage to speak of.

Though anywhere near the shore got destroyed, portions of a few boardwalks are gone and alot of flooding in low lying areas. But like anything it could have been worse, we got lucky.
