My brand new Glock model 17 is shooting some really tight groups - I'm quite pleased with it. However, the gun is consistently hitting approximately 4 inches to the left at 25 yards. Is the only way to have this corrected to take it to a gunsmith or send it off to Glock? Anybody else have this type of problem? My model 21 shot directly to point of aim right out of the box.

I have a Glock 23 that I just installed Meprolight Nite sights on. I bought the sight adjustment tool for it. I think it cost around $90 but I figured since I plan on buying more than 1 glock it would be a good investment because our local glock armorers want about $20 just to adjust the sights or install them. I bought the tool from glockmeister.com

That is fairly common with fixed sight guns. There are 4 solutions to it: 1. Take it to a gunsmith and let him adjust it. 2. Buy the tool so you can do it yourself. 3. Borrow the tool from somebody that has one. 4. Clamp it in a vise and use a brass or nylon punch to drift the sight over. I chose number 3.
