Just a heads up to anyone who might be interested. The 500 went back to S&W today. I'm really hoping and praying that they fix the problem (low velocities) which I believe is being caused by excessive barrel to cylinder gap. We'll see what they say. If they don't fix it, that's ok too I guess. It's still a good shooting pistol! I'll let you guys know what the outcome is.

Well I hope they solve the velocity problem for you but it may be the powder also cause that LIL'GUN powder seems to have the velocity right after it is loaded then it loses it after a couple months of being loaded. I shot my 500 a couple months like I said and the velocity was down. I know No 9 doesn't lose its velocity tho. But it doesn't shoot tight groups either.

All of the loads that I fired were within days of being loaded. I also tried H-4227 and the velocities were too low there as well, so it's not just the powder.
