I'm looking to get a Bushnell 2-6x32 for my Super Redhawk 454. It has the new(?) matte grey stainles look and I'm having a hard time deciding on wether I should get the matte black or the silver scope. I'm leaning towards silver.
What do you think, any sugestions?
Edit: By the way, there is the option to get the "glowing in the dark" crosshair. The scope would primary be used for target practice and load development. Will I benefit in any way to get the firefly reticle?

Scope color is strictly a mattter of personal preference. Either would look good in my opinion. Unless you are going to hunt with the revolver, I question the benefit you would receive from a firefly reticle.
If ignorance is bliss; there are some blissful sonofaguns around here. We know who you are, so no reason to point yourselves out.
My personal taste leans strongly towards a black scope for Ruger's "Target Gray" finish. I have a gloss black Leupold on my SRH .454, and it looks like it kinda belongs there because it matches the grips. I have a friend with the same revolver and a silver scope and I just feel that it looks way out of place.

I got hold of a secondhand Leupold 4x gloss black and I must say that it looks quite nice on the Target gray revolver together with the black Hogue grips.
When I get rich and buy the Bushnell it will defenitly be a black one
