I have no,zero, nil relationship with or knowledge about this seller, but a guy has NIB Ruger Hunter SBH SS .41 Mags for sale on Gunbroker for $599 plus shipping. This certainly ain't cheap but given that Ruger is no longer making this model or any Hunter models it might be worth considering for the .41 admirers among us.

I haven't bought one YET because I've got a Hunter in .44 (and just bought one, not yet delivered, in .22/.22mag) and just can't figure out why I need one in .41. Save me before I buy again.... Roll Eyes

Oh c'mon gg. You know you want one. Not everybody has a Ruger Blackhawk Hunter Bisley in .41Magnum. I'd get another but have a consecutive pair of .41Magnum Hunter Bisleys, plus another .41Magnum Hunter Bisley, and one with the regular plow-handle. My shooter is very accurate with its Nikon scope. The regular one I'm thinking about having it made into a .410GNR Ultimate Hunter.

It can only appreciate in value while the .44 probably won't. You owe it to yourself to get the .17HMR/.17M2 and the .41Magnum to have a series.

No, if I WANTED one, I'd already have one. I'm a big believer in instand gratification if I can afford it. I thought about it and just decided I had no use for ANOTHER deer hunting type pistol. BTW these are in the SBH configuration, not the Bisley. I'm not sure there's all that much difference in real use, but the Bisley looks neater IMO.

And I'm sure as hell not into collecting series of anything that sit around in boxes, by the time they could really appreciate in value, I'll be appreciating daisies from the root side. Without getting into economics, things such as guns really aren't appreciating all that much, but the dollars used to buy them are depreciating and it is likely to be an accelerating trend.

I must be the only person around that doesn't much care for the .17 HMR but it doesn't do all that much for me. I don't have a pistol in that cartride but I've got a rifle in it that is fairly accurate, 1 MOA, but it just gathers dust. If I hadn't of stocked up on the ammo, I'd probably get rid of it. I'm going to downsize my pile of guns just after I buy a few more rifles and maybe a custom pistol or three. Wink

Joe Mac...a thought for you... Since Gary Reeder is going to trash your barrel and cylinder anyway...why give him a rare .41 when you can go out and buy a .44 and have it done..? That is what I did on my Reeder Custom .41/.41 GNR Bisley. The one that was used for my gun started out as a Super Blackhawk stainless and had a new heavy barrel and 5-shot cylinder installed...

If I ever run across a .41 Blackhawk Hunter for a decent price I'll probably grab it... Already have the Single Six Hunter and it is a great shooter...

I was just on Ruger's site and it does appear that they are no longer producing the hunter models and I didn't see any revolvers in .41 magnum........

My mistake, apparently they are still producing the hunter in .44 Mag and 22/22mag but not in .41 Mag. For some reason when I looked the other day, the hunter model wasn't there.

Whitworth:

You have to look under Superblackhawk and go to the models.

You guys gave me a heart attack at first

Go to Davidson's gallery of guns site (wholesaler for rugers and others)....

41mag and 45lc are special short run productions, every now and then you can get a new one...

Hunter model is available in single six, 22/45, 22 markIII, as well as the blackhawks...

IF they werent producing them anymore, I would need to step up on my collections LOL

Following your advice, I went to Davidson's web site and was thrilled to see both Bisley and SBH .41 Mag hunters there. I was even more happy when my dealer said I could get one for less than the $599.00 that the seller I mentioned earlier wanted. I said fine, get me a Bisley Hunter in .41 Mag. There was only LITTLE problem, Davidson's is sold out of both models and who knows when or if they'll get anymore. Frowner

Back to thinking...... Roll Eyes
