Uncle Mike's makes a bandolier style holster that will accept a scoped gun. Useful for carrying.

When I am hunting with any of my scoped handguns I carry it in my right hand....it's useless when it is in a sack type holster and in most cases is a PIA to carry on a belt or any type shoulder holster. Just my preference.

I have 2 holsters that will fit my scoped RB.
One says AMS on the tag, but no numbers. The flap positioning is adjustable, but I wish the cordura was quieter.

I found a leather one at the surplus store for $7, I think it was for a smg of somekind. It's not very pretty, but does hold it securly. Inside the flap is marked mdl 1/N

This is one of the ones I use. http://www.smith-wesson.com/we...ctDisplayErrorView_N

Of course one can remove or color over the logo w/a sharpie. Its also avail in leather

I tend to favor arrangement w/less straps to twist, tangle and requiring awkward adjustments w/narrow straps being the worst/most difficult/annoying. This one fills that requirement

I also use a single point sling at times.

Most of my heavies wear Hogue grips thet utilizes a hanging bracket w/nut and screw to hold the grip on. I use a sling stud instead of the grip screw furnished.

Using a tapered rod to elongate a standard sling swivel, I just snap the SP sling to the swivel and good to go.

W/practice and adjustments using it as a lanyard tends to steady the aim for better shots. YMMV

For my handguns wearing optics, I have a couple of Uncle Mike's units that work fine.

Just spent a week bear hunting in Montana, no, going back though, I carry my F.A. .475 scoped in an Uncle Mikes shoulder holster. Make sure you adjust it and WEAR it at home before going hunting, I wear mine fairly low, avoid the temptation to constantly f@#* with it. There is a position where it will ride and feel comfortable, mine always seem to be lower than the pictures of the manufacturer.

I use an Uncle Mikes bandolier holster. It's a covered flap shoulder holster that comes in four different sizes according to barrel length. Normally you can get one under $40.00 and they work very well.

I either use a sling or one of the Uncle Mikes holsters I have sewn a leather scope cover on.
