I had a great day today! It started with arriving at the hospital at 5 am and I was back home by noon without my gallbladder! It got better this afternoon when the mail lady brought me a package from Doc Barranti and another with the David Clements Ruger Old Army in .50 caliber I bought off Gunbroker. I am a happy camper.

If it shoots half as good as it looks I will be very happy. I do believe that this was one of the best bargains I have found on Gunbroker

First one I've saw in .50 cal. Great looking Old Army you got there! Let us know how it shoots. I have a SS in .45 that shoots as good as my centerfire revolvers. Amazing how good they shoot.

God Bless, Louis

Dave Clements does/did great work. I heard that he is now retired. He built my Keith # 5 about 18 years ago.

He has been scaling way back for the last year and a half and has retired now. He is selling off a lot of stuff

Am I the only one who noticed pacecars came home sans gall bladder?

Beautiful gun, btw. But secondary in my view. Hope you are recovering apace.

Thanks. So far so good. It is amazing what they can do now and how quick they send you home. Used to be I would have been in the hospital 3 or 4 days

Indeed; stepdad went in last year + had his removed 'microscopically?' by going into the navel + taking it out. He was home within 2 hours. I bitch like everyone else about medical costs but it's truly amazing what medical advances we have today. When my Grandmother had hers removed in the 1940s it was major surgery + a week in the hospital.

pacecars--I had my gall bladder removed several years ago. First couple years, frequently when I drank something, even water I'd have diarrhea. The exception was 7 Up it did not set me off. This all passed (excuse the pun) in a couple years.
