Neat but one doesn't buy guns like that to shoot.

That why I don't buy any like that because I would have to shoot it.

Set it up look at it smile.

then take a old beat up redhawk out and shoot that instead.

I don't know if I could resist not shooting it either. It does have drag marks on the cylinder, so why not?? Just be careful where and how you set it down! I'll bet it shoots well..........

Don't know, TBEAR. Do you know who built it? You may want to call them and ask before shooting it.

No way on God's green earth a bullet goes down range out of that revolver if it is mine... I am sorry, guys, but that to me is equivalent to de-flowering an underage virgin: you just don't do it!

Get some Flitz and see if you can very carefully polish out that drag mark. I am betting you can.

And, to state the obvious, that is one gorgeous piece. I applaud you for the purchase!

It's a revolver -- and a Dan Wesson! I say shoot it!! I can understand Doubless' sentiments, but a call to Dan Wesson should reveal how durable that gold finish on the cylinder is.........

I don't think I could resist shooting it!

I hear you, but it's a Dan Wesson, and that often means it's a great shooter!

That is a beautiful gun. I have three Dan Wessons, .22 , .357 and .445 Supermag with numerous barrels for each. None of them is that pretty. I agree with the other guys though if I own it, I shoot it. This is a pic of my off duty and carry gun that I've had for over 30 years.

Shooting that revolver would most likely destroy the gold plating on the cylinder.

Temptation would get the best of me. That's why I am a shooter and not a collector per se.

That's a beautiful pistol, by the way.
