We have a target setup and gong across the bay from the house at 375yds,, I have the same 617 and after 25 yrs of practice cad hit the gong fairly regularly!! It's about the perfect range to see if a rifle is a good distance shooter as well. I tend to use more than enough gun | |||

Living in Lake Iliamna strikes me as being near Heaven. Shooting across the lake at 375 yds. with a DA .22 makes it sound even better. I'm not really new. I had 1,000+ posts going back to 1996, when I suddenly found myself unable to Log In, in late 2013 | |||

I know a fellow who has his colt woodsman sited in for 300 yards and when he has a newbie around he rings his 300 yard gong with it. They think it is amazing known range sights set not that hard. | |||
