My 500 S&W Lee case trimmer is .15" too short. Anyone else experience this?

Hi Miss...

Did you put the screw on base on the end of the shell... just thinking out loud?

Recently upgraded to a Lyman Universal from my old Forester. Loading & trimming for my S&W 500 was the main reason for the 'upgrade'. It's excellant!!

ok! ok! Now that yall are finished laughing here is my excuse.

I just swapped over to the lee trimmer setup from the hand lathe type back in early spring (March). I have not done any reloading since then due to my season work. The other morning I had a minute to get out the reloading equipment and start gearing up for winter loading & shooting activities when I realized something was not right with the trimmer. I could tell before I ruined a piece of brass (I promise!) Computer was on, typed this post and went to work.

Ok, now we have that straight and I dont feel like a total idiot, Im going to trim some brass. Thanks,KP thumb
