I've seen a mention of a .460 smith x-frame in a few places to debut at the shot show. Details are sketchy, does anyone know more?

Also heard rumors of this, supposed to be a lenghtened 454 Casull - heard the revolver will allow 45 colt, 454 casull and the new 460 round - no word yet on fps / ft lbs ?? Another rumor is of a 500 s&w necked down to 475 but this too is only talk - any shop owners / FFL guys out there in the know??

I heard something about this at a gunstore as well. It will apparently be quite versatile as they intend to offer ammunition with sabot, HEAT and low yield nuclear warheads. Since plinking loads may get expensive, Barry Bonds has been recruited to visit shooting ranges and whack shooters' outstretched hands with his bat to give the same effect as firing the revolver.

If this is true.... I don't think this is for me. I don't want more recoil than my SRH 454 Casull.
Now in a lever rifle.......
