Greetings! I am thinking of purchasing a 10" 475 Wildey Hunter model. I have considerable prior experience with the Desert Eagle in 357mag, 44mag, and 50AE and also the AMT Automag V 50AE as semi-auto hunting pistols, but I have no experience at all with the Wildey. How does the Wildey compare with respect to grip sixe and feel, trigger pull, accuracy, etc to these and other pistols? I'd love to hear from those with prior Wildey experience, good or bad If I decide to go ahead with this purchase, it will primarily be a Florida and Tennessee Hog and Virginia Blackbear pistol, with possibilities of future use on Elk or Moose.

At one time I was going to buy a 475 Wildey, but all I heard was that they do NOT chamber/eject consistently and the triiger was so/so this is from a custom gunsmith that has mucho experience with auto's and revolvers. So I gave up on them. Sean

Sean, that would be a couple of VERY important points for me! I have heard differently from many folks, but have in the past day heard your same report from two others. Enough to give me a bit of pause for concern. Didn't Paul Dustin have one for awhile? I would really love to know how the trigger compared to the DE and other guns.

The early 475 Widleys were problematic....from what I've heard however, the current production models are much improved. Lee Martin www.singleactions.com
