I have this revolver: https://www.smith-wesson.com/f...center-model-sw500-0

I like it very much except sights. Sights are from my point of view just inferior to the rest of the revolver.

I would like to put on it some fiber or tritium front sight and quality fiber or tritium rear sight.

I will be happy with anything like this LPA: http://www.lpasights.com/en/pr...2&manufacturer_id=24

But I can't find it with dovetail type front sight.

Any help out there?

Jiri

The LPA catalog has some dovetail front sights with dimensions. Check or ask them if they fit in your gun.

Communication with ESAKO (translated):

Hello,

I am interested in fiber optics sights for revolver S&W 500 7.5" Performance Center. It is this one:

Rear sight is probably not a problem, but I didn't find appropriate front sight. Can you give me an advice?

Regards,
Jiri.....

Try LPA catalog, eventually Recknagel. I didn't find your gun there.

This is in the Czech Republic the prime example of "customer support". Until you are "somebody important" friend or you want to buy ten thousands of them, you are f$%ked.
In Italy, they don't speak English, or precisely they don't want to speak English. So I will ask in Cabelas or Bass Pro in USA in the summer. Much better customer support there.

Surely someone makes the sight you are looking for. Have you tried asking S&WS Performance Center ?

Phil Shoemaker : "I went to a .30-06 on a fine old Mauser action. That worked successfully for a few years until a wounded, vindictive brown bear taught me that precise bullet placement is not always possible in thick alders, at spitting distances and when time is measured in split seconds. Lucky to come out of that lesson alive, I decided to look for a more suitable rifle."

Jiri: I would like to ask you. I am looking for fiber optics sight for 500 S&W PC 7.5" revolver. Are there any available?

Jiri: I have exactly this one: https://www.smith-wesson.com/f...center-model-sw500-0

Jiri: SKU: 170299

Steve: This is a dovetail sight. We don't have any fiber optic options for this one. Sorry.

Jiri: OK, I understand. And any aftermarket, like LPA or whatever will fit?

Steve: I believe the dovetail cut is a S&W cut.

Steve: So you will have to custom fit a front sight.

Jiri: OK, thank you.

LPA will fit for rear.

Front could be "standard 3/8" dovetail. But still some gunsmithing will be necessary I think.
