I am wanting to scope a ruger blackhawk .45LC 7.5"barrel. What is the best mount and rings to buy for a handgun, this will be the first one I have scoped. I am looking to put a Leupold
2.5-8 handgun scope on it. Advice or opinions on the scope and mounts/rings are welcome. Thanks

Weigand base, no. 957-124-100 in black, 957-124-101 in silver, from Brownells. I like the Warne rings. The gun has to be drilled and tapped but you will be able to mount any scope you want on it.
