I think I like it, but as most liberals Wink, it is important to me what others think.

#1)

Actually, I was just playing around with Photoshop and I thought it might look cool. I think it does. I figure you could get the cylinder nickel/chrome/NP3 plated for ease of clean-up, and plate the other parts or get them in SS.

I know it's not new, I was just playing around with what might look good on a Blackhawk. Gary Reeder also has quite a few blue/SS pistols.

Those were Redfields and I sheared off the studs that keep them from moving forward or backwards. What caliber is the No. 1 in?

The rings sure fooled me. By the way they mount, I thought they were the Burris model.

My Ruger #1 is chambered in .405 Winchester. I will be hunting some Coues with it down here in Arizona in about 3 weeks. Should be a blast.

Whitworth, I had to laugh at that picture. That gun just LOOKS nasty laying there. That metallic blue stainless reflection on hard blue is a tough scheme.

Ruger270

I like blued pistols, and I like nickel pistols.

Smith&Wesson calls pistols with blue and nickel, Pinto's.

I have one "Pinto" but, strangely enough, it is a Colt 1911 with a Nickle frame and Blued slide.

I woulds like to have "Pinto", engraved, with Ivory grips, S&W Mod 29 44 Mag as a "BBQ Gun".

So, I think your "Pinto" Ruger looks good. Big Grin

The real question (for me anyway) is "How does it shoot?"

My rifles are mostly Savage's. Why? They shoot well out of the box for the price I can pay. Yes, they are ugly, and a few guys at the range laugh when I pull one out, but most stop when they see how they shoot.

So for me, the beauty of the tool is in the results.

personaly i like the looks of a in the white cylinder only if the rest of the gun is blued. I also like the look of a polished grip frame on a blued gun if thats all thats not blued. Its all a matter of taste and if you like it how gives a rats ### if someone else does.

Whitworth- As far as I am concerned you could post that "little" Eeker SRH every so often!

What is that cylinder made of? Does it need to be hardened?
475 Linebaugh?

Thanks Rex Rat! The cylinder is made of 17-4 stainless with an H1000 heat treat while the extractor is heat treated to H900. It is a .475 Linebaugh........
