Wondering if anyone has one? I did, never really learned it, had some bite to it, but I should have done more testing/shooting with lighter loads and got to know it. Wondering if anyone has had a good amount of experience with one and how it compared to say a S&W. Too bad Ruger does not make a 41 mag GP100 factory 5 shot. I suggested it at the SHOT show last week.....

I have the 4" Titanium Tracker. I have about 1,000 rounds through it. I love the gun, but it's not without it's flaws. While it is accurate enough, I would like to get better than the 2" groups at 25 yds. The bore is a little rough, so it fouls pretty quick with lead bullets. Both the accuracy and the fouling could probably be solved by fire lapping the barrel. When I bought the gun, there wasn't really anything else offered in a light-weight 4" 41 mag. If I did it over again now, I'd probably get the S&W model 357 or 329. Shipping FedEx Ground keeps a small business running. "I'm not late, I'm early for tomorrow."

It is too soon to tell how accurate it is but I just bought a TiTracker three weeks ago. Have only had time to shoot it once but was fairly impressed. I have a M357 AirLite also and hope to shoot both together soon. Bob

I've had a 4" Ti for at least a few years, as long as they have been out. My thoughts run similar to collegekid. Had to send it back because the cylinder swing out was so stiff, they improved it about 50% and then I took it apart and did some more serious polishing. I noticed the fired cases seemed to be hard to extract even with moderate loads. I could see the machining marks in the cylinder walls so I polished them out. The trigger was rough which drove me crazy so I did a trigger job on it. In my opinion it tain't a Smith, but then again IMO neither is a Ruger, cept maybe the single actions. Bottomline, it took some coaxing but I like it fine now. The above issues will have a nill effect on using it for its designed purpose. I just tend to be anal about these things. Bites extremely sharp with heavy loads, it is loud but these factors will apply to any gun in this category. It is accurate enough out to 50 yards for big game. These are not designed to be long range guns. Biggest advantage is its weight so it is always where it needs to be, on me! Most recently I used it for a cougar hunt. Here is a link to some pics: Never posted pics on here before so I hope it works. I don't see a preview option?

I shoot mine with 220 gr sp's at 1040fps because it is so lite it is my main woods running gun. My Rugers and S@Ws seem better built but it gets the job done. My son used it to finsh a 200lb black bear drove that 220 clean through the head with out any trouble.

Tundragriz...tell us more about that Cat...that is a BIG one... The bullet looks like a Sierra 210...what was your load and have you chronographed it? Where did you hit the Cat and how far did it go before giving up the ghost? Great pics...Bob

That pic of you holding the cat reminds me of one I seen in a Texas Trophy Hunting magazine awhile back. RJM, I thought the same.....a Sierra HP, that was not a hole in his head in the pic huh? Perhaps Coup de Grace!

Hi, Under the pictures there should be captions that will answer some of the questions but I'll summarize. I'm in Mexico now and don't have access to my reloading data but I think I remember most of it. The bullet was a Sierra 170, used 2400 with I think 21.0 gr(?). It chronyed at 1103 fps. It was taken in southwest Utah a week after Thanksgiving, Paunsaugunt area. I drew the only non-resident tag. Started hunting Thanksgiving day and took it on the 7th day of my 7 day hunt. The shot was taken immediately after taking the quartering away picture in the tree. Bullet entered mid rib cage and stopped under the hide on the far shoulder. I suspect the heart was taken out as there was not a single bruise on it after falling a few hundred feet and probably bouncing wall to wall about 100 feet down through the 6 foot wide slot canyon. The cat was dead instantly. It fell straight down about 6 feet, momentarily draped motionless in a tree crotch, at that moment I figured I was going to have to pull it out of the tree but gravity took over and it slid out of the crotch backwards, hit the snow and bounced off the cliff and out of sight. Probably bounced/fell 200 feet down the canyon and then another 100 feet into a slot canyon at the bottom of the bigger canyon. Wasn't even sure if it would be recoverable. Probably took near an hour securing the dogs on the canyon wall and trying to find a way down into the bottom of the canyon. Then after getting to the bottom we just hoped we'd be able to get up into the slot canyon where the cat was. Bottomline, once we got to the bottom of the big canyon it was an easy flat walk right up into the slot canyon. I only took the 1 shot so, no, there was no hole in the head. Haven't scored it yet as I took it directly into a local taxidermist, head still intact in the hide. Thanks for the interest!

Well it was hard to tell in the photo, perhaps an aberration unless the fall took some hair off it's face. GREAT trophy animal and hunt, memories.....happy for you. Must have had some adrenaline pumping. Thanks for sharing!

I also have a 41 mag Ti Tracker. I think it shoots great and is a joy to carry. I carry federal 250gr castcores or winchester 240gr platinum tips in it. -------------------- THANOS WAS RIGHT!

I just forwarded the link on those pics to my brother who is going to AZ next weekend to try and call a cat. I told him to take his Dan Wesson 44 for challenge, not sure yet what he is taking. Also, when reviewing pics, see the captions under, had to scroll down to see that, thanks for the tip. That is a big cat, would be all I could do to pick it up, I am 185 also, perhaps 190, but at 5'9" that cat would dwarf me. BWT, you said 1000 feet is where you live ..elevation, where at? Also, do the ports on the Trackers lower velocity somewhat, seems like it might lower by 100-150, but maybe not that much, anyone know? Thanks guys.

6.5, Ahhh!! Just returned from the SCI convention. I live in the Endless Mountain region of NE Pa. I think it is actually around 1600 ft. where I live. Regarding the porting, I don't know. It is the only 41 I have so nothing to compare it to.

I take it you chose it for portability as much as anything? Light weight....
