I seem to have found a reasonably comfortable, accurate and relatively inexpensive load for my 4" taurus tracker in .41 magnum. It's 16 grains of 2400 under a laser-cast 215 grain swc with a cci 300 primer. I do not currently own a chronograph so I was hoping a few of you might have experience with a similar load that would provide some guess as to what velocity I might be obtaining from the short 4" barrel. This load is quite dirty and leaves a good deal of black resin on the ports but it seems more accurate than i can shoot it and doesn't leave my hand stinging after 50 rds.

Based on the data in my Lyman cast bullet loading manual, I am going to make a guess and say between 950 and 1,000 fps. If ignorance is bliss; there are some blissful sonofaguns around here. We know who you are, so no reason to point yourselves out.

Thanks, That is pretty close to what I was aiming for. I have the 47th Lyman handbook and it lists 14.2 grains at 835 fps and 18.8 grns at 1272. This is the only manual I found that lists info for a 4 inch barrel.
