You've got it backwards, the US $ is equal to about .75 Euros or to put it another way, one Euro is about US$1.32.

When considering US based operations of guides/outfitters, check and see if they are NRA members. If not, why support someone who doesn't support us? Consider spending your money elsewhere.

Just your opinion for what it's worth you're splitting hairs. The S&W 460 mag is listed as the most powerful US handgun round now.

scr83jp, you may want to do some homework before you post. The 500 Mag is listed as the most powerful production handgun, the 460 is listed as the fastest production handgun. I know, I own two of the 460 and 500 Mags. Which one do you own?? Not that any of this means anything. Roll Eyes

Our current crop of large revolvers can still be shot and managed offhand. But at 13.2# how can that cannon be shot without sandbags? How would anyone carry and hunt with it? Just a novelty item!

A couple of years ago at the SHOT Show in Vegas I picked up a compensated single shot pistol that fired a 50 bmg round, it was also shown on an inside cover of the Blue Book.

You can now get factory ammo from double tap ammunition for the 500 magnum. It gives off 1975 ft/sec with a 350 grain bullet, for a little over 3000 ft.lbs of energy out of the 8 3/8" barrel. If that is not enough you can have Jack Huntington make you a 50 alaskan that weighs 72 oz, the same as the 500 s&w. It will give you 1928 ft/sec with factory 450 grain bullets=3710 ft.lbs of energy. Mine has a 9" bl, with a 1 1/2" brake on the end of it. Both are very handible compared to the 600 nitro revolver and a hell of alot cheaper. There is also an 18 month wait on the giant 600 revolver. even if you want to spend that kind of money. Just a little info for you big bore guys.

It's just a stunt gun plain and simple.

You can buy anything ever thought of but what will any do that a good .44, .45 or .475 can't? Shoot far? Yes but how many handgunners can shoot a deer at 200 to 300 yd's?
Long range stunts from a rest would be fun but not practicle for the real world.

I don't think a 600 NE is going to be much of a threat to deer with a short barrel, which gives even lower velocity than normal. A .44, .45, or .475, or .50 will probably reach out there just as well.

Love shooting precision and long range. Big bores too!
