Wanted to share a couple of mine. Both are pretty cool, one almost more of novelty and the other quite the utility item. I don't really have a single favorite as I like them all. So now the problem is I need to fill the gap as far as matching stainless revolvers. Thinking of getting a 686 in .357 and then something to bridge the gap to the .500 maybe a .44, any suggestions? Haven't done much with the .500 as far range work or anyhthing but the rimfire is a champion. Will say if I get another .500 it will have the longer 8 3/8" barrel for hunting. Rodney.

Either a 686 or a 629 will fill the gap well.

You need to do some range work with your 4 inch 500 Mag. Mine shoots great groups at 50 yards off hand with open sights. I would not hesitate to take a shot on game at 50 yards with it.
I am using 440 gr. WFN bullets in mine, with great accuracy.

What do you call great accuracy? Is that 1/2" or what exactly?

jwp475, 1/2" groups would be one holers! I have not shot mine enough to know how it will or will not perform, but then what would a reasonable group be for the 4" .500S&W at 50 yards under ideal conditions be?
Redhawk1, I have a blued model 586 that has been gun coated in green/black but I was thinking of getting maybe two more S&W revolvers in stainless making equal steps from .22 to the .500, possibly another .357 model 686 and then a .44 but not certain of the model for it in keeping with the series/style. Rodney.

Nice! A .44 would fill the gap nicely between those too, and a 629 would fill it perfectly!

The standard 629 would fit the look well.

I am just wanting to know what Redhawk calls "great" accuracy.

Groups are measured center to center, so an outsideside measurement of 1" would eqate to 1/2" center to center measurement and is not a "one" holer.

Nice revolvers, by the way thumb
