Mine I think is a 6" barrel S&W Model 15, K-38 Combat Masterpiece. A plain vanilla choice, I know. But, imo it's just an amazing piece.

I play a little game with it and arrange at 15 yds three of those colored pins people stick in maps that have about 1/4" plastic heads. I arrange them in a triangle with each pin about 1" apart, then see how many shots standing one-hand off-hand it takes to punch all three out. Now I'm not claiming I do it in three shots, but it also doesn't take a whole box. And somehow I know as soon as I feel the recoil that I've nailed one.

Equally most accurate is the long barreled S&W Model 41. Really just like having a small rifle. As several fox squirrels have discovered to their detriment.

My Browning Challenger II puts out the same kind of tight group, but lacks adjustable sights and the elevation is wildly inaccurate. Otherwise it'd be a winner.

Btw, I'm reluctantly disqualifying any of mine with a scope in this "competition". That's too easy.

My most accurate is my BFR in .500 JRH. It will regularly shoot under an inch at 50 yards as long as I do my part. This group was shot at 50 yards.

Mine is my Model 57 that Jack Wiegand worked over for me. It will put 5 shots in a very ragged hole at 50 yards, if I can hold my mouth just right and do my part.

Somewhere around here is a target I shot years ago using my 7-1/4" 357 Redhawk. It is one ragged hole, and was shot at 50 yards off a bench. What made it so sweet was the projectiles were my own hard cast 180s, and the load was enough Accurate #9 that I am not going to publicize the charge weight!

My eyes aren't good enough to do that today...

My 1987 SBH is pretty damn accurate, I know it's not a large caliber, my Ruger single six shoots like a damn laser!. It's like pointing your finger and boom, it hits wherever your pointing. The .22Mag cylinder is damn near as good. I love that little pistol.

True story, I was at Clark Brothers in Warrenton years and years ago, when I had much better eyesight as well. I was shooting my 14" 35 Herrett and my 7.5R 41 Redhawk, both with Leupold 2x. Had one target for each gun at 100 yards, 5 Shots each gun. Walked down after 5 shots with each. Hmmm I sure thought the left side target was the 41 Revolver, but no way 5 shots in under 2" and what's this the TC was between no 3-4", Oh well...hmm I'll shoot another target next with just the 41. Walk back, 5 more shots like the other...Lay the targets over each other and I got 10 shots under 2"... Time to go home, it won't get any better and much likely , much worse. The Herrett is gone in favor of Bulberry 45-70 and a 300 Savage, but the Redhawk would be the last handgun I ever sold most likely. Oh the load, not so fancy, Nosler 210HP,Fed 150 and 20gr H110

25 and 93 yards, 5 shots each. It is an exceptionally accurate revolver and it was a great day for shooting.

S&W Mo.41.

My .44 mag T/C Contender shoots 1-1.25" groups at 100 yards with 240 grain Remington softpoints, depending on how good I'm doing on any particular day. The best I ever did with it was 3 shots touching at 100 yards, but I haven't repeated the feat yet.

My next best is probably my 4" bull-barreled Buckmark. At 25 yards, it will put all ten shots into a quarter-sized ragged hole. If I put optics on it, I could probably do even better, but I'm pretty happy as it is.

The most accurate handgun I've ever fired was a S&W 460 mag and a 500 they shot like lazers.
Of my handguns the most accurate is my Colt Python, next is a S&W 625 45 Colt tied with a mod 25 45 Colt.

While I have had several very accurate handguns over the years, the ones I shoot the best are Accurized 1911's in 45ACP.

I have to say my Ruger GP100. It will drop 6 rounds of 180gr./1200 fps into a ragged cluster at 50 yards.

338 GNR shooting a 200 grain Nosler Accubond out of a 15" Encore. 1" @ 200 yards.

I found this old post and had to resurrect it! I've never been much of a pistol guy, but got the yearning for a .44 Special and found a Flat Top for a good price. WOW! Never had so much fun with a gun in my life!!

A S&W PC 629 RB Full lug Removable comp & cap. 6 1/2" barrel made for Lew Horton.
With open Sights it shoots like a rifle.
I wouldn't take 2K for it.

What was interesting to me was to see just how many Ruger Single Action somethings were the choice of a lot of lads for accurate winner from their arsenal.

Mine is also a Ruger Old Vaquero 44 Mag 5.5" tube in stainless with a trigger job. Basically stock shooter but really great at very long distances.

A ruger MkII 6 5/8 slab side 22. I know its much more accurate than I can shoot it. I need to put a good scope on it and see what it will really do.

To steady your aim with an autoloading pistol reach out with your other hand and touch the barrel underneath with your thumb and finger!

My SW .500

Ruger SRH in .454 Casull. Usually shoots under 5" at 100yds iron sights off sand bags. When it doesn't, it's me.

Also freakishly accurate: Ruger P512 .22, Glock 23 with KKM 357 sig barrel; Colt Detective Special snubbie, and Model 586.

My 6" Freedom Arms 357 Magnum (still a 353 before they were all called Mod 83's).

When it was scoped with a 4x Leupold it would routinely shoot an inch at 50m. I shot several groups of around 3" at 100m and a few best groups of 1 1/2".

It shoots 158gr very well but when scoped I was shooting the 180gr XTP at about 1350fps.
