I need a scope mount for this pistol (older S&W M29, caliber.44 S&W), I'm told it needs a scope mount that clamps on to the barrel. I don't have the actual pistol to experiment with. I'd like to get a weaver-style base (or Picatinny rail), but will take what works.

I'd like black matte or blued steel, but will take what I can get.

Can anyone straighten me out on exactly what I need and where to get one?
