If you sell a gun to someone and give them a 3 day inspection period,when does that start and end??????I say from when the FFL recieves the gun and 72 hours there after.What say you??? | ||

Since seller is certain to have some sort of delivery confirmation, inspection privilege begins upon buyer's receipt of item. Seller and buyer will know date of receipt. It's so simple to be wise. Just think of something stupid to say and then don't say it. Sam Levinson | |||

Exactly. If the gun is so marginal that the seller can't stand an extra day or two for the buyer to pick it up and then inspect it, he is the problem, not the buyer, xxxxxxxxxx When considering US based operations of guides/outfitters, check and see if they are NRA members. If not, why support someone who doesn't support us? Consider spending your money elsewhere. NEVER, EVER book a hunt with BLAIR WORLDWIDE HUNTING or JEFF BLAIR. So...the seller describes the gun as best he can, takes a pic or two; spends $ to ship the gun...the buyer doesn't like the gun when he gets it in his hands for some reason...who pays what at that point? When the gun is returned, does it have to go ffl or direct to the seller? | |||

The seller doesn't "spend $ to ship the gun", shipping fees are almost always paid by the buyer, either figured into the price of the gun or specified separately. "Who pays" depends on the prior terms of the sale. I'd say the norm is for the buyer/returnee to absorb the return shipping costs, sometimes the seller states that he will, which is usually a sign that he thinks he is describing it accurately. And yes, it has to be shipped back to an FFL as far as I know unless the seller is in the same state. xxxxxxxxxx When considering US based operations of guides/outfitters, check and see if they are NRA members.
