I posted this before in another forum,

I've finally chrono'd my 480 ruger loads and will share them here below for anyone interested. Accuracy is good with 3" groups at 50yds freehand. I really like this caliber and will hopefully take a deer or two this upcoming season with my 9.5" Ruger SR. I think I'll use the 275gr. for the first deer, and then maybe switch to the 325gr for the second to compare the two. Anyways,

All are hornady brass, CCI 350 magnum pistol primers and H110

275gr Speer Gold Dot HP
34.0 Grains Max (always work up)
Vel= 1711.6 (6 shots)
Std. Dev.= 14.14 (6 shots)

325gr Speer Gold Dot SP
28.5 Grains Max (always work up)
Vel= 1473.5 (6 shots)
Std. Dev.= 18.11 (6 shots)

400gr Speer Gold Dot SP
21.5 Grains Max (always work up)
Vel= 1168 (6 shots)
Std. Dev.= 19.93 (6 shots)

Hope this helps any of you looking to use something other than cast bullets,

Jeff

Speer has reloading data for their bullets. I don't know if it is still on there website, if not give them a call, or have them fax you a copy.
