hope no one minds - I reposted this from the South Pacific section...

Hi Ya'll

Back in August we spent 14 days hunting with Lynn Thompson (Cold Steel Inc) and Tim Wells (Relentless Pursuit TV), trying to kill buffalo with Lynn's Cold Steel samburu spears, among other weapons. The youtube clip below was of a young buffalo bull that Lynn and guide Peter Harding were trying to kill and the ensuing charge captured on film. Quite exciting!!

Lynn has his own 'unique' style too, which we have all come to know and love!! rotflmo

Enjoy!!

for those not familiar with Lynn's prowess with the revolver - you might be interested to see his previous DVD efforts - Handgun Hunting Downunder - a preview to be found here...

Matt, thanks for posting this clip! I talked to Lynn a few weeks ago and he told me the story and said he had it all on film. Awesome clip! Lynn is one cool customer, I have to say!!

I shot next to Lynn at Raton, New Mexico & he's a very good shot, both single action & double action. He's also very agile, I"m surprised he didn't pull a knife & carve that buffalo into chopped liver.

It's a good thing for him that there was a termite mound there or he would have been squashed like a grape.

If the termite mound hadnt of been there the whole situation would have been different and the charge may not have happened!!

just shows what a good handgun is capable of. it's not quite as fast as two shots as a double rifle but shure is quicker for 3rd thru 6th shot. i've read capstick many many times, i've always wondered how many would still be alive or not crippled if they all hand big bore pistols on their hip.

i feel i could walk and hunt the earth with my 375HH and 454 on my hip.

Yup, a lot faster to bring into action.

He was using the 300 grainers. I believe he would no longer be with us, had he been using the 240 grain loads. Big Grin
