I have a S&W Model 27-2,with a 8 3/8" barrel 357mag. I have had it since 1967. Target hammer and trigger. I have been able to take 5 deer with it and 3 hogs. It has preformed wonderful with my handloads, thought my first deer was taken in Wyoming with 125gr JHP Super Vel ammo when they first came out and was popular. Never had any problems of killing powder, and stopping them in there tracks. Just don,t really need anymore at this point. van

I had one of those with a ribbed barrel. I mounted one of the first pistol scopes on it and I could put those little frozen juice cans filled with water out at 100 yd's and blow them up from prone. It was a wonderful gun and I wish I still had it.
