One of my dad's friends just sold off some of his Ruger collection. Dad beat me to the flattops, but I did get consecutive number Ruger Maximums NIB:

Very nice! I had a chance to buy one back in 1991, but didn't -- unfortunately.......

Hello. I have Dan Wesson mod. 40-V8S .357 supermag. SE 001728.
Is it a pice of junk? It is accurate, but "profesionals" here in Finland says that it is very veak. Kauko.

I have a Ruger 357 Max and a Dan Wesson 357 Supermag. I don't know where anyone would get the idea that a DW is "weak, they are one of the strongest revolvers made. I have had issues with springs in the lockworks losing tension and having to be replaced in the DW, but that's it. - dan

Great buy, Lee. Seems like the maximums I have turned into .414Supermags. Next one is going to be a dual cylinder .41GNR#2/.414SM just for the heck of it. Think you'll ever fire one or the other of that pair?

If you wear out a 357 maxium in the Dan Wesson you have really done something.Mine has been shot only about 300 times but a friends is going 10,000 rounds strong.I really like them. They are heavy but super accurate. It was the loss of factory ammo which sucked by the way that killed it .The writers also said the top strap would cut till the pistol was weakened which was bs.My friends is still super tight and still accurate. You just have to shoot 180 and heavier bullets.I like the hornady 180 gr xtp in mine. Its best of all the bullets I ever tried.Brass is getting harder to find and I would stock up if you want to keep shooting.Remington is the only company that can make it from 223 brass. It seems weird but thats what its made from partially drawn 223 brass. It also uses small Rifle primers and I like aa1680 powder best in it.
