I see one of these listed on Gun Broker. Hopefully, I will see one in Alaska within the next few months.
It appears the 480's, be they Super Redhawk or 6.5" Bisley are not overly abundant or disappear before I find them. I have only seen two of each and purchased one of each.
The SRH is presently at the gunsmith's being cut to a 5" length. I just picked up the Bisley with the same barrel reduction in mind. But, the factory 4-5/8" is close enough, and no waiting on work to be done. I hope to have the SRH back this month.

I want both the 6 1/2" and the 4 5/8" 5 shot 480s. Already have the SRH 7 1/2". Just got the 5 1/2" Bisley Blackhawk SS 45ACP/ 45 Colt convertible. It's Really sweet and hopefully will greatly improve my handgun shooting. Making a holster as I type this. ;-). I've got a Mihec 45 Ruger 4 gang mold for the Colt cylinder. Guy I got the gun from have me a very good deal on it.

That worked successfully for a few years until a wounded, vindictive brown bear taught me that precise bullet placement is not always possible in thick alders, at spitting distances and when time is measured in split seconds. Lucky to come out of that lesson alive, I decided to look for a more suitable rifle."

I like the SRH also. The double action has it's advantages.
I definitely prefer the the single action revolver look and feel, specifically the Ruger Bisley and Freedom Arms grip frame styles.
Though, I do like the Redhawk and SRH.
I like the newer finger groove style grips on the SRH's. I am quiet fond of the 5" SRH Toklat 454. So, I am having the 480 SRH cut to 5".
Not being an actual handgun hunter, a 5.5" barrel is the longest that I care to carry for my purposes. Otherwise, I do like the 6.5" barrel on this SBH 480.
The 4", 45 Colt / 45 ACP Redhawk has recently attracted my attention also. Yet, another option.

Most of the time poor shooting is not a gun problem.

If you are having problems I would suggest you find some one to help sort out your troubles.

I've got them partly sorted . Too much recoil for the amount of practice I need. Hence the 45 ACP cylinder. With standard hardball ammo. It recoils less than my wife's XD 9 . Really easy to shoot. Helps me work on my sight pic/trigger squeeze.

That's all need to read right now. I sold my Super Redhawk in 480 because I didn't like the double action recoil. Always thought the 480 needed to be in a single action. Also the 4-5/8th in. barrel is the perfect size for me. Love the way they balance and handle.

The 5 shot 480s are super Sweet. I haven't got to shoot my friends 6 1/2" yet. But hope to soon. I don't see that I'll be able to get one before freeze up. Maybe one will be under the Christmas tree. ;-) . I do need a taller front sight for my 45 Bisley and my SRH. They are fine with the lighter bullets. But the heavy weights shoot high even with the rear sight bottomed out.

I have one of those and really like it. Love the barrel length.

I placed an order over the weekend for a 6.5" 480 Bisley, looking forward to its arrival.
