Actually, there's another round that's being developed for the maximum length frame. Essentially, it's a .454 lengthened to 1.610", whereas the S&W is longer. Starline did a run of prototype cases, and I was lucky enough to get a few. Rumor has it that Dan Wesson may be looking to offer such a round in their SuperMag series.
