Wanna stick on S&W performance center 460 with 10.5" barrel. Will it hold up, are they truly parallax free?

Hi Hunter,

I don't have the aim point but I do have the Bushnell knock off. That sight has held up to the recoil of a .44 mag in a Smith PC Light Hunter. Recoil was snappy enough to break the mounting screw and throw the sight about 20' over my shoulder.

I replaced the screw and the sight still works just fine.

So, my take is that the weak point is likely the mounting screw and not the actual sight itself.

Peace,

Regards,

Robert

I'm running a number of Aimpoint Micros (mostly T1) including on a 12-gauge shotgun that sees use with stout slugs. No problems and the Aimpoints have a reputation for being bomb-proof. I have not noted any parallax with the rifles out to 150 yards or so. Past that, I want a scope!

Don't know how old you are, but folks with a lot of astigmatism often find that the "dot" becomes a star or otherwise distorted. I don't have significant astigmatism and have not been troubled.
