A resident of Soldotna, AK recently stopped a charging brown bear at mere feet while out walking his dog in town, with a Ruger 454 Casull. The bear charged unexpectedly from 20 feet away. http://www.adn.com/2009/08/13/...s-dog-walker-to.html velocity is like a new car, always losing value. Yea, I didn't catch the year, it was just sent to me. It does throw a bucket of water on those that claim a handgun is worthless in a bear attack, which I've read many times. velocity is like a new car, always losing value. BC is like diamonds, holding value forever.

That happened in 2009. I've talked to Greg before, and it was a good thing he was carrying. "Ignorance you can correct, you can't fix stupid." JWP If stupidity hurt, a lot of people would be walking around screaming. Semper Fidelis "Building Carpal Tunnel one round at a time"

The guys that promote handgus don't work. They do not want facts that would ruin a good theory.
