My .41 Blackhawk and .44 Super Blackhawk have always been plenty accurate for what I wanted to do with them. In my better practiced days, the .41 was capable of staying centered on a B27 silhouette at 100 yds, iron sights. I did change the grips on the .41 to larger Arizona Grips for shooting comfort. The Blackhawk grip frame seemed comfortable as is.

I own a 45 colt in the blackhawk and I shoot the 240gr bullet at 1450fps with 7.5" barrel and it is a very accurate gun. My 44 is Redhawk 5.5" barrel and the weight helps with the recoil and it shoots the 240gr bullet at 1430fps and is accurate also.

My choice would be the SBH. Personally, I prefer the feel of a single action w/ wood grips since they tend to "roll" in your hand rather than causing your hands to hop with the gun. My favorite hunting rig (although not most used because of range capabilities)is a SBH w/ 2x burris posi-lock scope. If you do go with the ruger and decide to scope it, look into a Redfield 3 ring base. When I was rigging mine out, i talked to alot of folks who said it was the best available, followed closely by SSK's T'sob which is kindof bulky.
