Well with the Tracker now being made in .45 LC I just might pass on the Raging Bull. Not like I need the .480 Ruger. I looked at Super Redhawks again and still don't really like them. I really like my Tracker in .41 Mag. so I think I would love the Tracker in .45LC. It would be nice to know if frame size is the same. I would think it would be larger though it looks the same in photos. So many choices.
I have the stainless version with the 4 inch barrel. The recoil is very managable. Not to say you don't know it is a magnum but no pain. It is very loud with the porting. I hope to start hand loading for it soon. Ordered brass and dies and they should be in this weekend. I would compare the recoil to my Glock in .40 S&W. You would think it would be more but the weight and porting must really tame it. One thing about the Tracker. Taurus recomends 1300 fps as max for loads for it. Who knows I might just get a Blackhawk in .41 so I can get everything the cartrige has to offer and forget about anything else.
Hi Hayes4, I have the titanium Tracker in 41Mag. They weight in at 28 ozs. I too, find the recoil manageable. I have shot full bore factory loads, both 210gr and 175grs, and also heavy handloads with no discomfort. I do not seem to run into the 1300 fps issue mentioned by Jacobite. My handloads are listed as max and a getting about 1200fps. I may have a slow barrel or, more likely, the data is optimistic. As a comparison, I shot a snubby 357 with 125 JHPs and thought the snubby kicked worse. I used to shoot a Super Blackhawk 10.5 in 44 mag and I think it kicks harder then the Taurus. That is probably grip desgin. Jacobite is 100% correct in that it is LOUD. I wear double hearing protection when shooting it. Love mine by the way

Don, I am willing to bet the frame size is the same. Taurus make 4 frame sizes and the Trackers all fall in to the "Compact" frame size. That is whay they are 5 shooters in the larger bores.
You might want to contact Taurus and see if a Raging Bull in 45LC is in the near future. Bulls are built on the large frame.

Terry, Actually I would be happy with the Tracker frame. I am still up in the air with what my next handgun will be. Tonight I just bought an old Mossburg 42 bolt action .22. My Dad had when when I was a kid and it got stolen. I have been looking for one for years and found one in very good shape all original tonight. Dads was tube feed and this is clip fed but this one has the optional factory target peep sight Dads did not have. My brother picks up his Blackhawk in .45 LC next week. If I like it well enough I might just get one myself. Who knows at this point of the game.
I too, like the Tracker format. Doing it over again, I probably would get the stainless steel just because it is easier to shoot. The titanium is nice for carrying though. I would also like to have a 6in barrel. I am partial to the 41 so the RB really looks nice to me. Can't convince the wife that it is a need and not a want though.

Twillis:
Actually it's in the near past not the near future. Taurus has made the Bull in 45 colt and discontinued its production. Sorry, I got mine and it shots great, I have shot 30K load in the Bull and it seems to take them in stride. I don't think I'll try the same loads in a tracker
